Please carefully read the following service agreement
Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances…
General:
- The pet is in good health. Grooming services provided to elderly or medically compromised pets are performed at the owner’s risk. Please note that grooming may reveal underlying skin or health conditions for which Tangled Tails Grooming Salon is not liable.
- The pet’s rabies vaccination is current, in compliance with legal requirements.
- In the event of a medical emergency during grooming and in the absence of the pet owner, Tangled Tails Grooming Salon is authorized to seek treatment from the nearest veterinarian. The client agrees to assume full financial responsibility for any necessary medical care.
- Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Accepted payment methods include credit card (processing fees apply), check, Apple Pay, or cash. Please be advised that we are unable to provide change for cash payments. A valid credit card must remain on file regardless of your preferred payment method.
- The client authorizes our professional groomers to use their discretion in handling matting. This includes permission to shave matted areas if deemed necessary. Additional dematting fees may apply.
- Tangled Tails Grooming Salon is not responsible for diagnosing or treating pre-existing medical or skin conditions discovered during the grooming process. Any concerns will be communicated to the owner for veterinary follow-up.
- We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion, including but not limited to cases involving aggressive behavior, excessive matting, or requests for inappropriate grooming (e.g., shaving of double-coated breeds).
Pricing:
- By signing this agreement, you agree to pay all charges due at the time of service. This includes any applicable additional fees such as dematting, extra brushing, hand scissoring, creative grooming, late fees, no-show/cancellation charges, and credit card processing fees.
- Prices listed are starting rates based on breed, coat type, and size. These rates apply to pets who are maintained on a regular grooming schedule (every 4–10 weeks). Pets outside this schedule may incur additional fees.
- All pets will be weighed upon arrival to verify their weight. Pricing may be adjusted accordingly based on actual weight.
- The final cost of your pet’s grooming is determined by several factors including coat and skin condition, desired haircut style, and the pet’s behavior and tolerance during grooming. Please note that listed prices are estimates and may not reflect the final total.
- Nail trimming/grinding, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing are complimentary services, provided they do not cause excessive stress to the pet or risk to the groomer.
- If fleas are discovered during grooming, the pet will be treated with a flea shampoo to prevent transmission. An additional fee will apply.
- By signing this agreement, you consent to the application of all applicable service and handling fees as outlined above.
Additional fees apply for:
- Pets weighing over 130 lbs
- Pets not groomed regularly (outside the 4–10 week window)
- Services requiring extra time or attention (e.g., extensive brushing, scissoring)
- Pets displaying aggressive behavior during grooming
- Pets exhibiting high stress or anxiety requiring special handling
- Breed-specific or creative haircuts
- Late drop-off or late pick-up
Late Drop-Off / Late Pick-Up Fee: - We kindly request that all clients arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. A 15-minute grace period is offered with advance notice. After 15 minutes, we may need to reschedule your appointment and apply a rescheduling fee (30-50% of scheduled service). If we are still able to groom your pet that day, a $15 late fee will apply.
- Clients are expected to pick up their pet within one hour of receiving our notification. A $10 fee will apply for every 15-minute increment thereafter unless prior arrangements have been made.
- Pets must be picked up by closing time unless prior arrangements have been made. A 10-minute grace period is allowed with notice. After that time, a $20 late fee will apply. If a pet remains for more than one hour past closing, an additional $50 late fee will be added.
Cancellations:
- Cancellation or rescheduling requires 48 hours notice to avoid fees.
- Between 24 – 48 hours notice: 30% of the scheduled service will be charged to the card on file.
- Less than 24 hours notice: 50% of the scheduled service will be charged.
- Same-day cancellations are treated as no-shows and are subject to full charges.
- Repeated short-notice cancellations may result in full charges and potential denial of future service.
- Exceptions may be made in cases of inclement weather, family emergencies, or other unavoidable circumstances at the groomer’s discretion.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we need to do so. Every effort will be made to find an alternative time that works for both the client and the groomer.
No-Shows:
- A “no-show” is defined as a client failing to arrive at their scheduled appointment time without notice
- We reserve the right to charge the credit card on file the full cost of the scheduled service due to the loss of revenue caused by a “no-show”.
- Repeated no-shows may result in refusal of service.
Personal Items:
Tangled Tails Grooming Salon is not responsible for any personal items left behind, including but not limited to collars, leashes, harnesses, toys, or clothing.
Reminder Texts/Emails:
By signing this agreement, you consent to receive text and/or email communications including appointment reminders, follow-ups, and prompts to schedule future appointments.
Parking:
Tangled Tails Grooming Salon shares its parking lot with other businesses. Please ensure you park only in the spots clearly marked for Tangled Tails (two spots in front of our garage or parallel park in front of our lobby). We are not responsible for any fines, tickets, or towing that may occur if you park in unauthorized areas.
Photographs:
By using our grooming services, you grant Tangled Tails Grooming Salon permission to photograph your pet during the grooming session. These photos may be used for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website, or marketing materials).
We retain the rights to these images and may use them without compensation. If you wish to withdraw this consent, please notify us in writing.
